John Wetton was a British rock musician. His main instrument was the electric bass, but he was also a singer, guitarist and familiar with various other instruments (piano, mellotron, violin). Since the early 1970s he has been a professional musician and member of the bands Family, King Crimson, Roxy Music, the Bryan Ferry Band, Uriah Heep, UK, Wishbone Ash and Asia. Keyboarder Geoff Downes was a member of Camera Club, The Buggles, Asia and currently plays on Yes. Since 2005 John Wetton and Geoff Downes have regularly released studio and live albums under the name iCon. A total of five iCon publications have been published to date.
