No Talisman or fan of good, melodic hard rock will be disappointed by this album: "With HUMANIMAL another project of Jeff Scott Soto starts, until a few years ago one of the most busy singers of the metal scene. Together with some colleagues from Talisman he once again takes the direction of Melodic-Rock/Hardrock, but mixes this sound with hard, partly modern riffs and a rather atypical vocals, which reminds of Soundgarden singer Chris Cornell especially in the strong opener 'R U 4 Real'. The combination sounds surprisingly good, as you avoid the clichés often served by bands with equally excellent musicians. "
