In 2019, Chris "The Professor" Black released three solo works on the same day (via High Roller Records), and this year marks the fifth full-length album by his main band High Spirits (including Mandela's self-titled and self-financed 2009 debut album). Chris Black and High Spirits are really hard to stop, and so the new record is appropriately called "Hard To Stop". Many listeners still consider "Another Night" from 2011 as the absolute highlight in High Spirits' catalogue. Does the band feel pressure that "Hard To Stop" has to become a second "Another Night"? With its thoroughly positive charisma and first-class song material such as "Hearts Will Burn", "Since You've BeenGone", "Now I Know" and a new recording of the classic "Midnight Sun", "Hard To Stop" has the potential to outdo "Another Night" in terms of sales figures and fan acceptance.
