The density of musical products for connoisseurs of melancholic moods is high anyway, and yet they may rejoice again in an uncharacteristic way, because GREEN CARNATION are honoured with a new album that is called "Leaves Of Yesteryear". Green Carnation are back with a bang! In a nutshell, the new album ties musically and qualitatively to the golden days of the beginning/mid 2000s and serves both fan camps, the longtrack worshippers and those who prefer catchy dark hymns and a slightly proggy 70s sound. The opening title song already shows this: a concise doom riff meets wonderful Sorrow leads, which are then underlaid with velvety soft, slightly symphonic keyboards.
