Description
On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the most famous four from Birmingham, the "inventors" of heavy metal are once again honored by the prominent tribute trio around guitarist and singer Zakk Wylde with the double album "Doomed Forever Forever Doomed". With this loving homage, the Americans deliver brilliant interpretations of BLACK SABBATH's second and third albums, i.e. the classic heavy metal masterpieces "Paranoid" (1970) and "Master of Reality" (1971).
ZAKK SABBATH were founded by BLACK LABEL SOCIETY guitarist and singer Zakk Wylde, who is also known as the long-time lead guitarist of OZZY OSBOURNE and now also of PANTERA. After ZAKK SABBATH initially only performed live with changing members, the band finally found a stable line-up with OZZY OSBOURNE and ROB ZOMBIE bassist Blasko and Joey Castillo on drums (DANZIG, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE). Inspired by the 50th anniversary of BLACK SABBATH's self-titled debut album, ZAKK SABBATH released a tribute to this monumental heavy metal milestone in 2020 entitled "Vertigo". The album was showered with praise from critics and fans alike. The trio celebrated worldwide success, which was reflected in impressive placements in various charts: the album reached number 5 in the US Hard Music Charts, number 7 in the Current Rock Albums Charts and number 27 in the Billboard Top Album Charts. In France it even reached number 1 in the Metal Album Charts and in addition to number 3 in the German Album Charts and number 9 in the UK Top 40 Rock/Metal Charts, there are further entries in other countries.
The burning passion for heavy metal has driven ZAKK SABBATH to erect an even more monolithic monument to BLACK SABBATH with the double album "Doomed Forever Forever Doomed". Headbangers aren't the only ones who can look forward to fantastic interpretations of these classic songs, which are certainly among the most influential and momentous ever composed by man!
