2011, Crossfade is an American post-grunge band formed in 1999 although the name Crossfade did not arrive until 2002. The current members are Ed Sloan (vocals/guitar), Les Hall (guitar), Mitch James (bass) and James Branham (drums). An earlier incarnation of the band was The Nothing which featured founder members Sloan and James with Brian Geiger. The addition of DJ Tony Byroads resulted in a further name change to Sugardaddy Superstar. It was not until the name change to Crossfade that the band won a record deal and released their debut album CROSSFADE in 2004. The platinum album reached No.41 on the US Billboard charts and three of the singles hit the upper reaches of the US Mainstream Rock charts.
