"Brian Durbin's debut album was the greatest surprise of the year. Only Jams is a collection of singles which he released in the course of 2022 and which he compiled on this album in 2023. Brian Durbin is a one-man band as he handles all the instruments here and most of the production. This album demonstrates that Brian Durbin is a talented musician with a knack for writing catchy riffs and even catcher melodies. The opening track "Shake This City" is a perfect example of a raunchy hard-rocking track with great verses. "J. Lo of Chicago" and "Dick" brim with glammy catchiness. The whole album has a feel-good vibe even though individual tracks invoke references to different artists. The greatest part is that the tracks included on this CD sound like a perfectly coherent album without them being intended as making up a coherent album. Toward the end of the album, there is a cool intermission which is really Brian's humorous monologue explaining the rationale behind this album. The intermission separates the first nine tracks from Brian's very first two singles."
