The debut album of Norway's best prog rock band! Originally released in 2009, the now long out-of-print album is released as a remaster (Jacob Holm-Lupo) in three configurations as CD jewelcase, digipak as well as elaborate double LP in die-cut sleeve and white vinyl (to be released later on August 20).
All three early demo and EP releases were available via the band's website, which has recorded over 200,000 downloads to date. In 2008 Airbag was then signed to Norwegian independent label Karisma Records, in April 2009 'Identity' was released first in Norway shortly after outside Norway. 'All Rights Removed', 'The Greatest Show On Earth', 'Disconnected' and last year's 'A Day At The Beach' followed.
Airbag counts progressive rock bands such as Pink Floyd and Porcupine Tree, but also Talk Talk or A-Ha among its musical influences. The online magazine Babyblaue Seiten called the band a "download miracle" in a review of 'Identity' and assigned them stylistically to art rock. Rock Hard classified the music as "elegiac ambient prog" and compared the band to Steven Wilson's project Blackfield.
