FLOATING WORLDS were founded in 1998, when longtime friends Andreas V. (guitar) and Vagelis Lekos (bass) went on holiday together.
After a long back and forth the first album "Only A Dream, Can Kill A Dream..." was finished in autumn 2007. For the live realization of the music the search for a permanent line-up began, so that in May 2010 the starting signal for the "Only A Dream..." tour could be given. After some line-up changes in November 2011Jon Soti took over the male vocals, and the tour ended after 17 concerts in July 2012. In December 2012 the group returned to the studio. Here the second album of FLOATING WORLDS was created, "Below The Sea Of Light", which was released on 01.10.2013. After the live premiere of the "Sea Of Light Tour '14 -'15" in Athens, Greece, the band's first European tour started. At the same time Sophia Assarioti (keyboards, female vocals) returned to the line-up and Mike Papadopoulos took over the bass. This tour ended in November 2015 in Serbia, immediately followed by a two-year songwriting period, during which the music for the third work "Battleship Oceania" was written and Nikitas Mandolas took over the drums. "Battleship Oceania" is the first concept album of the Greeks, which tells the story of a legendary fighting ship and its crew. To celebrate the completion of the album, FLOATING WORLDS played a small number of concerts in Russia for the first time in March 2018. Battleship Oceania" will be released on 17.05.2019.
