Spock's Beard are a band that is constantly evolving, as is always the case with truly creative musicians. And their new album "Noise Floor" is the best example. "We're always about evolution, not revolution. This time we made the songs even more melodic", says singer and guitarist Ted Leonard. "We still love our proggy elements, but we also understand how important it is to get the listener's attention at an early stage.
An essential change on the album is the return of drummer Nick D'Virgilio, who left the band in 2011. But both Leonard and Okumoto are curbing their euphoria: "We are very happy that Nick has returned to us for this album," says Leonard. "But so far, there are no plans for further cooperation." Okumoto adds: "It would be great if Nick would play live with us again. The problem is that he has so many other obligations that it should be difficult for him to incorporate us into his schedule what the touring is about. But we hope that he will continue to record with us in the studio in the future."
