Description

August 8, 1964 was a special day for Scheveningen and The Hague, and it was a groundbreaking day for rock music in general in the Netherlands: The Rolling Stones had just released their debut and came to Holland for their first performance - at the same time, the Stones' concert premiere on the European mainland. The concert is regarded in the Netherlands as the birth of the wild 1960s, which came to an abrupt end with the Altamont disaster of the Rolling Stones in 1969. Everything that from then on was considered typical for rock concerts of that time was already included here: hysterical, screaming fans who celebrated their new idols exuberantly and destroyed the venue, just like the Berlin Waldbühne later on.

The box, limited to 1000 pcs. worldwide and hand-numbered, documents the event with a 10" vinyl, a 32 pages book, concert poster replica and a documentary on DVD. After the long sold out first edition there is now a strictly limited version with red vinyl!
