Peter Doherty & The Puta Madres release their debut album of the same name via Strap Originals/Cargo Records. Peter Doherty & ThePuta Madres" was recorded live to capture the essence and spirit of Puta Madres over four days during last summer in a house overlooking a fishing village in the community of Étretat in Normandy and mixed at Urchin Studios in East London. The album was recorded by Dan Cox (Laura Marling, ThurstonMoore, Florence & The Machine) and produced by Jai Stanley (longtime friend and manager of Peter). The Libertines and Babyshambles frontman's latest album is described by himself as "a devastating, intimate portrait of love, loss, tragedy, addiction and the power of the human soul to overcome its dark planes" and has been put through its paces at festivals and headline shows throughout Europe over the last 18 months.
