Grateful Dead Aoxomoxoa (50th Anniversary) Picture Vinyl

Aoxomoxoa celebrates its 50th anniversary on 20 June 2019! As part of the ambitious series of re-releases celebrating every GRATEFUL DEAD album, a Deluxe Edition of the album will be released in June 2019! Like all other albums of the current series, the album will seem almost exactly 50 years after the first release. Aoxomoxoa will include the original album in newly remastered sound with an additional disc of previously unreleased live recordings!
In addition, it will also be released as a limited 12-inch Picture Disc, limited to 10,000 copies. Both versions will be available from June 7, 2019!

The Aoxomoxoa: 50th Anniversary Deluxe Edition contains two versions of the album: One in the completely remastered version of the 1969 mix, and the other in the mix produced by the band itself in 1971. This is the first time that both mixes have been made available together in a single release.

The second CD presents a previously unreleased live recording that was made at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco from January 24-26, 1969. The live take was remastered by Jeffrey Norman and is one of the very first live performances to be recorded directly on 16-track tape! Also the Aoxomoxoa: 50th Anniversary Vinyl Picture Disc will be released with the 1971 mix on June 7th.
