Passwords" is the name of Dawes' sixth studio album, which will be released on June 22nd via HUB Records. The folk- and indie-rock band from California reunited for Passwords with producer Jonathan Wilson, who was also instrumental in shaping the original DNA of the band. It is an album for and about the modern age - the relationships that fill it, the politics that divide it and the small victories and losses that shape it. "We're living in such a unique moment in history," says frontman and songwriter Taylor Goldsmith "Many of these songs are an attempt to come to terms with the modern world, while always trying to consider both sides of the story." "Passwords" is the most universal and most widely used strongest contemporary album of the band. Taylor also uses personal themes in the songs, such as his recent engagement, which he takes up in the songs "Time Flies Either Way" and "I Can't Love" in a self-reflective and profound musical way.
