SeelenWalzer, formerly Richthofen, was founded in 1997 by Andy Classen (former guitarist of the band Holy Moses) and Dirk Weiss (singer at Warpath). Together with guest musicians, they recorded the album "Seelenwalzer", which was released on May 26, 1997 by GUN Records. 22 years after its original release, the album is finally available again - the same content, but with a new band name! The band has created a brute sound on this album that plays with extremes and contrasts as a stylistic device. Songs like "Schönheit der Trauer" (Beauty of Mourning) are also an excursion into jazz. SeelenWalzer perform such a tightrope act, which taps both lyrically and musically the limits of the bearable.
